Estates & Custody

Estates

One of the most important decisions you will ever make is selecting someone to settle your estate. Only by having a will can you indicate your choice.

The person who has this great responsibility is called an executor. It is your executor's job to collect and inventory assets, determine debts and claims against the estate, manage the estate during settlement, pay all taxes, and distribute your assets to your beneficiaries.

Choosing the executor of your estate deserves serious consideration. Southwest National Bank, as corporate fiduciary has much to offer. Our business is estate conservation and management. We employ tax, accounting, management, and investment personnel who are skilled in their respective fields. Our modest fees can be less than the mistakes of an inexperienced executor.

We would be pleased to discuss with you, your attorney, and other advisors the many advantages of naming us as executor under your will.

Custody

The custodial account is an administrative service that does not include investment management or advice. We perform all the accounting, record keeping, and income collection duties for your investments.

The custody account is great for people too busy to devote adequate time to their investments. Periodic reports to you reflect all transactions on your investment, purchases, sales, income collected, expenses, rentals, maturities, gains and losses. Everything your tax advisor will need about your investments will be provided on a year-end tax report.

You're invited to come in and discuss our services. There is no obligation.
